The design work that Kate + Marcelle did for us was worth every penny. They were conscious of our resources and budgeting they styled our entire main floor (floor, paint, millwork, cabinetry hardware, countertops, light fixtures, etc.) They were undaunted when we discovered challenges with our house’s existing structure. They worked with our preferences, but tastefully pushed us outside our comfort zone the couple times we needed that. They filtered the thousands of options to help us make decisions efficiently. We remodeled almost our entire main floor ( mud room, storage room, powder room, laundry room, kitchen, dining room and living room ) . Kate was amazing. She listened to what we told her we wanted. She listened to how we wanted to use the spaces. Then she gave us a plan that anticipated things we had not even thought about, but now could not live without!!  She drew up all the plans. 
Our construction company even commented the plans were the best they had ever worked with. 
The spaces are beautiful and functional, a joy to look at. 
Kate was easy to work with and we will be calling her again for our next project

I've recently had the pleasure of working with Marcelle on a few different design aspects of our home. We had moved in recently and wanted to make it 'our own'.  We decided to start with our dining room, office and entryway first. After an informative phone call about how she works and what to expect, we set up our first meeting shortly after. When she got there, we walked around and talked about lots of different options and ideas she already had. It felt like talking to a close friend and made everything so easy!! She took some photos of my home and said she would be in touch with some plans. It sure didn't take long and she came back with many gorgeous ideas. As with any husband and wife, it is hard to please both, but Marcelle succeeded! What ever idea we didn't 100% agree on, she had a back up design immediately for us. We needed some custom woodwork done and she suggested the most amazing guy for the job. She knows someone for just about anything you need. I truly appreciate her listening to what my overall style was and her coming back with exactly what I wanted, but couldn't vocalize. I can't wait to have Marcelle help us redesign every room in my home!

We had been wanting to do a kitchen remodel for many years, but were challenged to see what could be done with such a small space and overwhelmed by cosmetic details. Kate came in and asked us to talk about how we used our space and the challenges we wanted to solve. She helped us focus on how we as a family live in our home and what we wanted to get out of it. She came back with 4 design options and I remember we were all immediately drawn to one design because it just felt like us. Kate knew us well enough to know she had to limit color and cosmetic choices. She showed us different styles to help her understand our preferences, and then came back with a smaller number of ideas to choose from. Her ideas were spot-on and we really didn't have difficult choices to make.We love that our home still feels as refreshing and functional as it did 4 years ago. It is amazing that a good design can make a functional space feel so inviting. It is the one area in our home we always want to be in.
